In addition to the financial stability the Sponsor should satisfy certain criteria:

The sponsor should

• Be a Canadian Permanent resident above or at least 18 years of age

• not be charged with any criminal cases and should not be in prison

• not be in debt or loan

• Not be under the statement of the citizenship cancellation

• Not have involved in sexual offence or offence against the sponsored person with in the last five years.

• Not be receiving the government welfare funds except in the case of the disable persons.

• He should not be charged with any bankrupt cases

• Not under the court order making payments to the ex-spouse or dependent children.
